We Need Your Help
Our funding for the Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program, Day Treatment Program was cut drastically (over $300,000) by the Department of Family Services and the Department of Health starting July 1, 2016. A grant from the Department of Family Services which supports a portion of the Learn and Grow Program was cut as of July 1st, 2016. Y.E.S. House Executive Director Sheri England wrote letters to Department of Health Director Forslund and Department of Family Services Director Corsi to reinstate our funding for the Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program, Day Treatment and the Learn and Grow Program. She received an email from Director Forslund and a phone call from Director Corsi telling me that they could not reinstate our funding. We have written samples of letters (attached) that you can use to send to Director Forslund, Director Corsi and Governor Mead. You can use our sample letter or write your own letter if you would like.
Please help us to not let them forget about the Wyoming families that are struggling in helping their children to address their mental health and substance use issues. As a frontier state, we already have very limited resources in assisting families in crisis, cutting more mental health/substance abuse treatment funds will create a greater devastation among the Campbell County families that are already under enormous stress due to the loss of jobs and economic recession.
Thank you in advance for your help in supporting our community!
