Learn and Grow is an exciting afterschool, enrichment program funded by the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century CCLC Grant. We serve K-6th grade students from Rawhide, Rozet, Lakeview, Conestoga, Sunflower, Meadowlark, Wagonwheel and Hillcrest elementary schools, Private Schools and Home Schooled students.
We use STEAM programs with Project-Based Learning approaches. Our monthly themes and lessons are driven from student input-Voice and Choice.
- Open to 30 kids at each location (Lakeview, Sunflower, Wagonwheel, Hillcrest, and Conestoga)
- STEM-based curriculum including Legos and robotics
- Summer schedule7:30am-5:30pm
- School schedule 3:40-6:30pm
- Schedule on early release days; 1:30-5:30pm
- Most holiday hours are 7:30am-5:30pm (closed on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Memorial Day and Labor Day) we are open most other holidays
- Dinner available at 6 pm for children (during the school year)
- 2 Trained Staff from the YES House at each location
- Drop-in basis, 1 to 5 days a week
- Homework, academics, reading, character building, leadership, nutrition, physical activity
- Open Enrollment for students who attend title 1 schools (Site schools as well as Rozet, Rawhide, Stocktrail, Meadowlark, homeschool, and private schools)
